Manager, Financial Systems & Projects

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing financial systems projects in meeting the requirements of Accounting and Finance globally for financial systems. You will work closely with end users and together with the I.T. project management office. Other tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Balances workload, provides functional, technical, and analytical guidance and direction to the project team including scheduling, assignment of work, review of project efforts and removal of roadblocks which may inhibit project success
  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, key business users, I.T, and vendors
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams for systems selection, implementation and integration
  • Resolve complex financial issues in relation to financial systems or business process improvements
  • Manage and coordinate the roll-out of financial systems to other offices
  • Manage the project team members and coordinate with business process owners and subject matter experts
  • Liaise with the various business units, corporate units, and standards & policies groups within the organization to ensure project success
  • Participate in the formulation of financial systems strategy in the near-term and long-term

Qualifications

  • University business degree
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Financial systems setup, implementation, and roll-out experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Exposure to business processes, business practices and controls
  • Knowledge of business financial reporting requirements and general business operations

Preferred exposure to:

  • ERP software systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP and Oracle
  • Financial Consolidation, Budgeting, Reporting software systems such as Hyperion, Cognos, SAP
  • US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

  • Effective leadership, consulting, consensus building, conflict resolution and team-building skills
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written, listening, speaking and presentation
  • Ability to respond to a high volume of work with multiple concurrent tasks
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify potential issues and risk and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel abroad
