Technical project manager

Marlink is in a process of strengthening the staff realted to network management and security associated with Marlink's Global maritime VSAT Network and value-added services. The Marlink maritime infrastructure consists of a world-wide terrestrial and satellite network, including 15 teleports and datacenters operated from Eik teleport, Norway. The network is currently supporting around 4000 vessels.

For its Solution team Marlink is looking for a technical project manager


  • Design technical value add services & products aimed at our maritime customers
  • Lead product development projects from specification to operations team hand-overs
  • Respond to customer-specific requirements
  • Interact with various product and solutions stakeholders (Marketing, sales, internal and external engineers)
  • Manage outsourced development and integration projects
  • Perform technological watch and hands-on lab tests

Some travelling may be required.

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner

  • Relevant candidates have a higher technical education and relevant experience
  • Strong, hands-on experience in IP networks, CCNP or equivalent certification strongly valued.
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Strong experience in documentation & specification writing
  • Experience with IT technologies such as virtualization, scripting languages, databases, webservices
  • Experience in maritime IT and ecosystems
  • Experience in working with consultancy and vendor
  • Teamworking skills in an international context
  • Good English skills, booth written and oral
  • Driving license
