Teekay Offshore has consolidated assets of approximately $5.3 billion, comprised of 60 offshore assets, including floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units, shuttle tankers, floating storage and offtake (FSO) units, long-distance towing and offshore installation vessels, and a unit for maintenance and safety (UMS). The majority of Teekay Offshore's fleet is employed on medium-term, stable contracts.

Financial Systems Analysts

Are you analytically strong with a sense of urgency and a proven track record within working area? Then you are the Financial Systems Analyst we are looking for.

As we wish to strengthen our focus on financial systems support, we are looking for new colleagues who can join us in developing a self-driven matrix organization to deliver excellent results to our business users, IT, vendors and other stakeholder groups.


You will primarily be responsible for operational and project support. Tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Provide day-to-day user support and training for financial systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP BPC and Eyeshare
  • Participate in the planning and testing of software upgrades; organize user testing and gain user acceptance from the business
  • Initiate, review, and implement improvements and best practices for financial processes
  • Optimize the use of available functionality within existing financial systems and explore new technology
  • Participate in regional and global projects as required by management
  • Manage small to mid-sized projects; works with stake holders and vendors and consultants across different regions and time zones
  • Work with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure that day-to-day operational issues/questions are resolved in a timely manner
  • Monitor and support the financial system integration hub to ensure that integration issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner; use available tools to reconcile differences between various systems
  • Function as a liaison between the finance & accounting department and the IT team


  • University business degree in Accounting or Information Systems or having equivalent accounting/system experience
  • Financial systems support or implementation experience
  • Report specification and development experience
  • Knowledge of business financial reporting requirements and general business operations
  • Exposure to internal controls and policies

Preferred experience with:

  • Reporting tools such as Atlas, SSRS, SSAS (Multi-dimensional) and/or structured query language (SQL)
  • Implementing and/or supporting Oracle Fusion financial modules or similar ERP(s)
  • Implementing and/or supporting of Consolidation tools such as SAP Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC), Hyperion, Cognos, etc.
  • Implementing interfaces between systems (e.g. banking, ERPs, etc.)

Personal skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and Norwegian/English communication skills
  • Knowledge of business financial reporting requirements and general business operations
  • Exposure to internal controls and policies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good organizational and time management skills

It may be required to work outside of regular business hours to assist regional offices and support global initiatives. Approximately 15% regional travel and occasional international travel.
